Competition

Theodor Ödlund

is the winner of our launch competition and has won an innovative electric bike.

We gave Theodor a call to congratulate him and was given the chance to ask him a few questions.

Congratulations Theodor! How do you feel after winning?
I’m super happy! The timing couldn’t be better. I don’t even have a bike anymore since my old one got sorted out at our latest courtyard clear-out, so that one was apparently no good.

Which is your favourite innovative invention?
The wireless computer mouse, but that’s a bit boring. So the modern version of 80’s vinyl record players is my favourite. I DJ as a hobby, so those has been really useful to me.

Have you ever tried an electric bike before?
I haven’t had one myself, but a friend of mine just bought one which I got to try out, and that was really great. So I’m looking forward to this.

Where’s the first bike ride off to?
To the daycare with my daughter Jorun. No doubt. It’s a bit off on my route from home to work, so this will save me a lot of time.

SWEDISH INNOVATION
GPS/AIS

Though a Swede didn’t directly invent GPS (Global Positioning System), Håkan Lans did invent one of its most important derivations. His AIS (Automatic Identification System) has become the standard for both sea and air traffic tracking and collision avoidance.
